DIY Peach Essential Oil

DIY’s are in trend nowadays, not only will it  save you some bucks but you can customize the item to your own likening. Well, with what’s happening to the world right now we all need something to relax, something that soothes our mind. Essential oils are one of the answers to that but what if that particular scent you are looking for is not available locally and if it’s available online it will take several days to arrive at your doorstep? Today, let’s make a Peach scented essential oil!

Peaches have this sweet scent that makes you want to sit under a tree, with a ice cream in your hand while feeling the summer wind. Who doesn’t love that, right?

Here are the things you need:

1. ½ pure essential oil
2. Vitamin E (liquid)
3. Chopped Peaches
4. Container for the oil
5. 1tbsp of witch hazel
6. Cheesecloth
7. Spray bottle

Directions:

1. Put the oil into the pot, next add the peeled peaches, then add two drops of Vitamin E to preserve the oil. Stir and set it to low heat. Let it simmer for about five minutes.
2. After cooling the oil, strain it using a cheesecloth to remove the residues. Seal the container after straining, put it in a dark and cool place (preferably in the fridge) to ensure cool temperature.
3. Label the jar with the current date. If you want to use it, put some oils in a spray bottle. Now you can enjoy the peachy scent inside your home without any hassle of going outside.

Peach oils can also blend well:

• Banana
• Blueberry
• Cherry
• Cinnamon
• Coconut
• Lavender
• Magnolia
• Mango
• Orange
• Pineapple
• Raspberry
• Strawberry
• Tangerine
• Vanilla

The oils can last you for about six months if stored properly. Enjoy spritzing the peachy scent for sure you’ll be labeled as the “peachy” person in no time! (it means “pleasant”, btw!)
